New York Magazine ranks ‘The Salesman’ among best 20 movies of 2017

‘The Salesman’, directed by Asghar Farhadi,  has been placed among world top 20 movies of 2017 screened in the US.

David Edelstein and Emily Yoshida, Two movie critics of New York Magazine, have released a list of 20 best movies which have been screened in the US in 2017. Their list includes Iranian Oscar Award winning movie ‘The salesman’.

New York Magazine is an American bi-weekly magazine concerned with life, culture, politics, and style generally, and with a particular emphasis on New York City.

Directed by renowned Iranian filmmaker, ‘The Salesman’ tells the story of a young couple named Emad (Shahab Hosseini) and Rana (Taraneh Alidoosti) who move into a new apartment in the center of Tehran. However, an incident linked to the previous tenant dramatically changes their lives.
